Dr Rusty is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) and a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Veterinary Dermatology; a registered specialist in veterinary dermatology. He is the Medical Director of the Animal Dermatology Group in the US. He has been involved with clinical dermatology and has been an active member of the dermatology groups in Australia, the US and other international bodies over the last 30 years. He has been involved with training over 50 current diplomates of the ACVD through the established residency programs in the US.
Achievements:
Rusty has been a diplomate of the ACVD since 1996 and has been an integral part of the Animal Dermatology Group in the US since the company’s inception.. He has worked closely with Dr. Mandy since 1996 and has been a part of dermatology care at Animal Dermatology Clinic-Perth for many years as a consultant, resident support and clinician . Rusty has been head of the resident training program for ADG for many years and has been a part of training of over 50 residents who have gone on to become board certified in dermatology both in the US and Australia. He has been an active member of the ACVD including serving on the Executive Board of the College for 8 years and as its President from 2012 to 2014. He is currently on the Advisory Committee for the College which helps to guide the College with support and advice in navigating College matters. He is a member of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and served as Secretary of the 9th World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology. He is currently the ACVD representative on the Administrative Committee of the World Association of Veterinary Dermatology. He currently serves as Medical Director and Resident Coordinator for the Animal Dermatology Group consisting of over 40 specialty dermatology clinics and over 125 dermatologists and residents in the US. He has also had extensive experience with industry partners working to support dermatology and designs the continuing education programs for ADG educational endeavors.
Rusty has extensive experience with clinical dermatology in companion animals. He has a passion for clinical dermatology and is committed to client education regarding their pets skin health and care. He is a tireless advocate for his patient’s comfort and clinical management..
